The rules we recruit by.

Recruitment earned its reputation.

We built FinTalent to do the opposite, and we put it in writing so you can hold us to it.

  1. 01

    Fit over fee.

The industry gets paid to place, so it places, stick or not.

We carry a handful of retained searches at a time, so the only way we win is a hire that lasts.

We'd hand the fee back before we'd put the wrong person in your team.

Proof Marquee Group: 4 hires, 12 months, 0 misses, all still there.

  2. 02

    No spray-and-pray.

We won't fire your CV at twenty desks to see what sticks, or hand you a stack of CVs to sift through yourself.

Three to five people genuinely worth meeting, or we tell you there's nothing worth your time yet.

  3. 03

    No ghosting. Ever.

It's the thing every candidate dreads.

You'll always get a straight answer from us, where you stand and why, whether the news is good or not.

  4. 04

    Straight talk.

We give you the honest version.

The real state of the market, the real money, your real chances, even when it's not what you were hoping to hear.

You can't make a good call on a polished one.

  5. 05

    Hands off what we build.

We never go behind anyone's back.

We won't quietly poach the people we placed into your team, and we stay the honest go-between for both sides for life.

If something isn't working, we help you both sort it out, and if someone we placed ever weighs up a move down the track, we work it through in the open, with them and with you, never one behind the other.

Going behind backs is one of the real problems in recruitment, and plenty of our peers operate exactly that way.

We don't, and we never will.

  6. 06

    Beyond the placement.

We don't vanish when the invoice clears.

We coach your hire through their notice period and check in for months after they start, because the placement only counts if it actually works out.

  7. 07

    Nothing hidden.

You'll know exactly how we're paid and what you're agreeing to before you commit.

No surprises in the fine print, because there's barely any fine print.

I started FinTalent because I was tired of watching good people in this industry get treated like stock on a shelf. This is the standard I hold us to. If we ever fall short of it, tell me, and I'll make it right.
