Job description

The opportunity

This is a role for a Credit Analyst who takes genuine pride in getting the detail right. You will be the engine room behind a small, growing broking team, making sure every deal that reaches a client is accurate, well-structured and ready to move.

The business is a fast-growing mortgage broking firm that has built a loyal, engaged audience by making property and lending easier to understand. That reputation drives a steady flow of warm, inbound enquiries, so the brokers you support are busy and the pipeline is real. What they need now is a credit professional who can bring order, accuracy and calm to a fast-growing operation.

Why this role stands out

  • You join a business with strong brand pull and consistent inbound demand, not one chasing cold leads

  • Real ownership of the credit function, with the autonomy to improve how things are done as the team scales

  • Close working relationships with the brokers, so your work is seen, valued and central to every deal

  • A team that is building proper processes and systems right now, and wants your input in shaping them

What you'll be doing

  • Reviewing client information and supporting documents, and flagging gaps before they become problems

  • Building servicing and borrowing capacity calculators across multiple lenders

  • Structuring deals, including more complex scenarios such as guarantor loans, and pressure-testing them against lender policy

  • Preparing clear, accurate broker notes and compliance documentation

  • Supporting brokers from enquiry through to settlement, keeping deals progressing and clients informed

  • Helping refine checklists and processes so quality stays high as volume grows

About you

  • Strong attention to detail, you double-check your work and rarely let errors through

  • Clear, professional written communication, you can write a clean, well-pitched email without prompting

  • Comfortable following processes and checklists, and disciplined about doing things the right way

  • Familiarity with broker policy checks and guarantor structures is well regarded

  • Experience in mortgage broking support, credit, or lending operations

  • Self-managed and reliable, you take ownership and ask questions early rather than guessing

What's on offer

  • Salary of $[insert band] plus super, based on experience

  • Fully remote, work from anywhere in Australia

  • A clear pathway to grow as the credit function and team expand

  • Genuine support and mentoring from an engaged, hands-on broking team

  • The chance to help build something, not just slot into a fixed seat

Culture

The business is led by people who care about doing right by their clients and their team. Expectations are clear, good work is recognised, and there is real autonomy for people who can be trusted to own their work. It suits someone who values structure and accountability, and who wants to be part of a business in genuine growth mode. It would not suit someone who needs constant direction or prefers a rigid, clock-on clock-off environment.
